Goals of the Training

The purpose of this training class is to provide you with knowledge in the usage of the PDI-Configurator to generate .pdi’s that meet the requirements of your Panoratio Explorer users—so they can achieve their discovery goals.

To that end, the attendees of the PDI-Configurator training class are also provided overview training on the Panoratio Explorer.

Who Should Attend

This class is designed for individuals in an organization who are responsible for managing content and data, and supplying that data to the users of reports, cubes, dashboards and analytic tools of all types.

The PDI-Configurator will allow you to provide more data, easier - thereby reducing the number of times you get asked for data.

Recommended Experience

Attendees to the PDI-Configurator training class should have knowledge and understanding of the structure, context and usage of their target data, an understanding of database concepts, a working knowledge of the chosen operating environment, and a general knowledge of software tools. Knowledge of XML is a plus but not a requirement.

Training Structure

The PDI-Configurator Training class consists of on-site training and a follow up question-and-answer session.

The reasoning behind the methodology is to provide the knowledge and initial practice using the PDI-Configurator and PDI-Explorer during the training class, then allows the user some time to work with the tools within the context of their business. Once the users have had a chance to use the tools, the follow-up session gives the users a forum to ask questions based on the actual generation of .pdi’s.
