PDI - Server

PDI-Server for Database Management
The PDI-Server administers the PDI-Database, which consists of sets of linked PDIs. For context, one of our customers, a large healthcare provider in Germany, generates 11 PDIs from multiple data sources providing an integrated dataset of his complete business context. With PDI-Server, data from multiple sources, such as Oracle, DB2, SQL-Server or flat files, can be combined to a single PDI set.
The server possesses multiprocessor shared memory architecture, considerably improving performance. The PDI-Server enables access to the original data source from which the PDI was generated so that data which is not stored in the PDI can be accessed like e.g. address data of a selected target group for campaign management. Also, different users can simultaneously access the same PDI loaded to the server’s main memory. Session management is enabled through a Java Application Server.
The PDI-Server also provides a standard OLAP-Interface allowing access from external ODBO-clients or XML/A-Webclients (e.g. MS-Excel, MS-ProClarity, Cognos PowerPlay, Bissantz).
